Overview
Southeast Asian Study Abroad (SEASA) was founded by Chen Vue. SEASA is an organization that expands on local Thai community partnerships with a global community of students. We do this by offering study abroad experiences and internships.
SEASA provides a sensational experience in hosting American students. We model our institution to be like a traditional university where we offer full-term in fall or spring where students will have an experience of what it's like to study in Thailand. In our study abroad program, students will undergo a 16-week program where students will take courses at our institution and be placed at an internship. Our internship would either place students with local Thai organizations or in our Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) program.
For our CBPR program, SEASA partners with the local Hill Tribe & Thai Villages to develop a Summer 5-week program with the CBPR. CBPR is an approach that helps community members partner with researchers to identify, finding solution, and implementing those solution to community challenges. SEASA takes students to Mae Sai Noi where students will help support CBPR initiatives in the local Hmong community. Students will be placed with host families where the program work will be hosted.
Chen Vue
My name is Chen Vue. I have taught immigrants’ families and students in education abroad in Thailand and United States for 6 years. I believe with a global experience in Thailand; it will help student develop the necessary skills to grow personally and professionally in their career.
Phiraya Vue
My name is Phiraya Vue. I have worked with international foreigner in building relationships with Thailand business for 10 years. I believe that students seeking a experience abroad will gain the ability to find new opportunities in their career.
Location
We are based in Chiang Mai, Thailand where we host students from all around the world seeking a global experience in Thailand. Although we are based in Chiang Mai, our partnership expands across Thailand.
